Shattered Dreams

Gracious dreams of living rich

Put up by promisers I couldn’t reach

I tried and tried but fell apart

And setbacks keep me well away from coming back

My heart has peeled off beating arteries

I guess I put work in for the wrong reasons

I guess I should put work in until it’s my season

Telling my story should be why I am living

Talking to one person with all that’s with me

Visit friends and hope for I recover easy

Hope I connect back to the world from my dreams

I really hope i..

I just hope I bounce back from all these things.

Fela had no idea he was going to come back in such a let-down as me. If he had had privy knowledge, he would, i am sure, have refused that death saying, "You'd better bring the next one. Not this yeye one," and i—my body—would have been passed to another's spirit to be reincarnated as a normal human being. Because, what is this?
